VOLUME SURVEYS
Volume surveys are surveys of bulk material, excavations and landfill volumes. With 3D laser scanning, volume surveys of the scanned terrain can be conducted accurately and in very short time frames.
In the process of volume calculations, we clean out all the noise in the pointcloud, thin out the points and create a mesh from the scanned points.
We have an option of comparing mesh to mesh or mesh to flat surface when doing volume calculations.
Pointcloud data can be geo-referenced and transformed into any coordinate system should that be a requirement.
