ABOUT
RapidScans is a provider of survey services specialising in 3D laser scanning.
3D laser scanning, also referred to as 'high definition surveying', is a method of analysing, capturing and processing data from structures or environments utilising 3D laser scanning technology.
The result is a collection of millions of points, also known as 'pointclouds', which allows for the following services, all of which we offer:
3D As-Built Modelling, Scan Registration, Pointcloud Extraction Drawings, Volume Surveys, Clash Detection, Deformation Surveys, Visualisation, Leica Truview and Topographical Extractions.
We operate over a diverse range of industries including, but not limited to, process plants, mining, construction, marine and architectural.
We utilise the latest 3D laser scanning hardware with a measuring rate of up to two million points per second and an advanced high-dynamic range imaging system.
The majority of our processing is completed utilising the Leica Cyclone software package, but we also work in, among other, Revit, AutoCAD, Microstation, Recap, 3Ds Max, 3D Reshaper, SketchUp and Unity.
